    I got these super yummy cookies (and cute picture of potatoes!) from Nicole at Another One Bites the Crust. She sent them to me after I donated to help raise funds for her friend Alex’s expenses (incurred after being hit by a drunk driver and being hospitalized). You can read more about Alex and Nicole at her blog~

    Another One Bites the Crust is a great blog that has awesome recipes and photography. It’s especially great if you or a friend are vegan, vegetarian, or have any kind of alternative diet. (I personally eat EVERYTHING, but I love exploring new foods!)

    I actually received these in the mail October 16th, but I’ve been slacking just a little lately on updating. Oh, and my boyfriend didn’t even know these cookies were vegan and he devoured them. The entire package was gone in twenty four hours, just between the two of us (eep!).

Turns out that trying to get a full-time job while helping my mom and planning for graduation and graduation parties really takes it out of you. Not to mention the daily grind of planning meals, running errands, and shopping, making appointments, and so on. Fortunately/Unfortunately I am now employed! I will be starting my new job Monday (29th) which has enabled me to already spend my first paycheck by shopping! Not only this, but I feel as if I will also have even less time now (if that were possible) to update my site. On the up side, I plan to read and study on my now 2 hour round trip commute so I will become more literate and my Japanese might, just might, be able to get back to where it was.

    I recently purchased these two wrapping papers. The top one is from Paper Cult, a new store in Tysons Corner mall that not only has a cute window design, but stocks international magazines, books, and papers like this Russian Doll one. I thought of my sister immediately when I saw it and I like the silver detailing. ($4.50 per sheet)

    The bottom one is from Paperchase, a company in the UK but their items are sold here through Border’s. I have a weak spot for owls. I purchased a pencil, gift bag, and wrapping paper from Borders. I had originally planned to somehow use the wrapping paper as decoupage or as a counter-top/desk liner, but after decoupaging some pails failed, I realized that I would just scan the paper in, use it as a wallpaper for a while and be done with it. I wrapped my boyfriend’s birthday presents in it.

    Paperchase also makes recipe books. I purchased one for about $8 from Borders and have diligently writing recipes in it, well the recipes that “pass the test” and deserve to be hand-written into a book.
